Bagyong Ompong October 2014 Updates

Here's an update for the Bagyong Ompong - Typhoon Ompong - international name VONGFONG for October 2014 - Philippine update.

As of today, October 7, 2014, the weather disturbance had entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The weather bureau had released its weather bulettin earlier today at 4 p.m. announcing the location of the typhoon - 1,400 km east of Tuguegarao City (17.4ºN, 134.9ºE).

Bagyong Ompong, the fifteenth weather disturbance on the country, has maximum winds of 160 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 195 kilometers per hour.

The weather bureau forecasted the typhoon to move westward at 20 kilometers per hour.

As of today, the whole Metro Manila has been experiencing heavy rains, making many of the streets submerged in water. Here is the tweet of the official TV Patrol account (@TVPatrol) showing the already flooded metro.
