Asus Nexus 7 Tablet, Price, Specs, Features

Google Nexus had been announced to be available starting today, Thursday, June 28, 2012.

Though the Samsung made seven inches tablet is only available in the Google Play stores in United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. It is though expected to reach the Philippine soil soon as it was reported to be ship in mid-July.

The seven inches tablet pc is currently priced at $199 for the 8GB version and $249 for the 16GB.

This new player is definetly have a much lower price versus the tablet leader - iPad, it's much more like Kindle Fire in price but has a significant hardware power.

With this edges, the combination of price and specs made tech blogger noisy about Google's first tablet, plus the fact that it's also loaded with Google's newest Android OS, Jelly Bean.

So, am I hearing someone asking for the Philippine price?

The actual Philippine price is still subject to change from the $199 point of view considering tax factors and everything but it shouldn't be far from that.

Local tech bloggers can't even make a guess what would the local price will be. Yugatech, Techpinas, Pinoytechblog, Technobaboy, etc, all echoed the same dollar price.

Though we saw that, a local buy and sell website, have an available unit, but it is too overprice with the 14K price tag.

Rest assured, we will be updating this post as soon as we heard a definite price locally.

  1. Seems like a good deal, good specs. Kind of reminds me of the Playbook. I already have the BB Playbook, but I might check this one out as well. Although, I never did care for Android. Jelly Bean seems interesting.

  2. What is the essence of buying a 14000 nexus if the main point of buying the tablet is the price tag?

  3. Just wait for the official release just like what i did in my ipad 3! 32000 vs 23990. Sweet.

  4. Was this available in Bacolod/Negros Occidental?
Im planning to buy one. Thanks !
