Bagyong Falcon - Storm Falcon Update

Bagyong Falcon, Typhoon Falcon or Storm Falcon is the fourth tropical storm that is scheduled to enter Philippines according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA.

The last tropical storm did hit the Philippines soil leaving significant disturbance throughout the country.

At 2:00 a.m. today, June 21, 2011, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 710 kilometers East of Visayas (11.4°N, 134.0°E) Southwest Monsoon affecting the Western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.

At 4:00 am today, June 22, 2011, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA said that the Tropical Depression "FALCON" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 550 kilometers East Northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar (14.0°N, 130.5°E) with maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kilometers per hour.

It is forecast to move West Northwest at 19 kilometers per hour.

It is forecast to move North Northwest at 19 kilomters per hour.
